NOTE: This session is a repeat of the Tech Tools Workshop offered on April 30th. Due to the high interest, we are pleased to be able to offer this workshop again. Thank you for your support!
Need a chance to catch up with the ever-changing stream of new (and not so news) tech tools? There's always something new that sounds interesting, fun and maybe even useful! But sometimes it's hard to find time to test them out and figure out what to do with them.
During this workshop, we'll look at productivity tools that can help you during your workday, social media services that can help you connect with your community, graphics and presentation tools, cloud storage options and much more. You'll have a chance to explore lots of tools (new and old!) and share ideas with your colleagues. You'll come away with some new tips and tricks in your tool-kit and decide which tools are right for you, your library, your community. Bring a list of your favorite tools or ones that baffle you. No question is too silly, bring them all!!
Much of the day will be driven by the participants and what they want to learn with time to test out different tools. This workshop is relevant to any library staff member who is comfortable using technology tools.
The cost for the program and luncheon is $30 for CDLC personal members and $35 for CDLC institutional members (staff at CDLC member libraries).
Please note: Workshop participants need to bring their own laptop (not tablet or handheld device) to participate in this workshop. A limited number of laptops are available. If you need access to one, please indicate this on the registration form. Available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Registration is limited to 20 individuals. Thank you for your interest!
