A Look at Library Discovery Services

Wednesday, December 2, 2015
1:30 pm - 3:30 pm
CDLC Offices, 28 Essex Street, Albany

Does your library use a library discovery service? Are you thinking about implementing one? Do you want to know what’s being used for discovery in our region and the pros and cons of different products?

Join us for an informal afternoon gathering at CDLC to hear how your colleagues are using discovery services and to share and learn from each other.

We’ll start with presentations by:
  • Jennifer Anderson, Regina Vertone, Christopher White of The Sage Colleges who will discuss their experience with Serials Solutions’ Summon
  • Kathryn Frederick of Skidmore College. who will discuss her experience with EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS)
  • Peter Koonz of Union College (formerly with The College of Saint Rose) who will discuss his experience with both Summon and EDS
Following these presentations, we will open it up for questions and discussion. Attendees can use this forum to share best practices and tips and tricks when using discovery services.

This program is open to anyone interested in learning more about library discovery services.

We hope to see you there!

Registration is required by Monday, November 30th.
The class is free to all CDLC member library staff.

As always, if you register and are unable to attend, please contact Susan D'Entremont at
