Join us for an Open House at Crandall Public Library in Glens Falls. This gorgeous library is the Central Reference Library of the Southern Adirondack Library System. The Open House will include a tour of the library, a demonstration of their RFID system, and a visit to the library’s Folklife Center with the tour of the Folklife Center starting at 4:30.
The award-winning Folklife Center preserves and presents the cultural traditions of the Upper Hudson Valley and the Southern Adirondacks. Folklife Center staff will discuss highlights of the collection. Attendees can also view the current exhibition, Wings Falls Quilters Guild Celebrates 40 Years of Quilting.
After the Open House is over, you are invited to stay at the library for a 7:00 pm concert featuring Tom Connelly Akstens with Brian Melick and Michael Gold. For more information on the performance and others in Crandall’s concert series, visit http://www.crandalllibrary.org/folklife/CulturalPrograms.php
Crandall staff can also provide advice on choosing from the many great restaurants serving dinner within walking distance of the library.
The library does not have its own lot, but there is ample on and off street parking in the area. See the downtown parking map: http://visit.cityofglensfalls.com/parking/
