This part of the program is divided into 3 sections: (1) An introduction that describes the difference between Census (Decennial) data and American Community Survey Statistics - a survey that has deep demographics. (2) How to search for data, interpret the different tables, change their set-up, and download or email the data. (3) Exercises will be given to those in the audience so that they may practice creating their own tables.
This workshop includes hands-on activities. Please bring a laptop or tablet. CDLC has a limited number of laptops available for workshop participants. If you do not have one to bring to the workshop, contact Susan D'Entremont at susan@cdlc.org prior to the workshop to make arrangements to borrow one.
