CDLC coordinates and implements educational programs and professional development opportunities for librarians and library staff throughout the region. We strive to coordinate continuing education programs with those offered by local libraries, state agencies, professional organizations, public and school library systems, other consortia, commercial trainers, and local roundtables and interest groups.
Non-CDLC Continuing Education
- NYLA Calendar of Events
- NYLA Webinarary - "A place in which webinars are kept for use but not for sale."
- InfoPeople - the education and training branch of Califa, a nonprofit library membership consortium in California.
- WebJunction - FREE online courses and webinars for ALL library workers and volunteers in NYS.
- Tech-Talk - a database of articles and videos, updated weekly, which can help people stay up-to-date while using technology and become better communicators in the workplace. To use this resource, members must have a subscription to the weekly Tech-Talk newsletter.
CDLC is currently offering access to two new on-demand learning platforms, Skillshare and Treehouse.
Members can request access to our limited number of licenses, which will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis in two-week intervals. Time may be expanded if there is no waitlist. These services are not intended for library patrons or the general public. However, any librarian or library employee at a CDLC member library, or any CDLC personal member, is eligible to request access to a two-week license.
